Peptide sets are valuable tools for screening of epitopes, proteases, kinases, antibodies or
pharmacologically active peptides. In many cases the use of peptide sets usually is cost and
time saving with respect to the use of recombinant proteins. We offer peptide sets of different
lengths, with different quality controls, and of multiples from 12 to 96 peptides per set.
The delivered peptides will not be purified. We will offer three different levels of lengths
of each peptide set from 8-11, 12-15 and 16-20 amino acids in length. There will also be
three levels of quality control of our sets. The basic level will have 2 peptides in each
set of 12 analysed by mass spectrometry. The upper level will have 4 peptides in each set
of 12 analysed by mass spectrometry and by HPLC analyses. The quality level will have all
twelve peptides of a set analysed by mass spectrometry and by HPLC analyses.
The 2 mikromole scale of our syntheses will yield about 1-4 mg of peptide mainly depending
on length. All peptides will be delivered as trifluoroacetate salts in a lyophilized form
in strips of 12 per set.
The minimal order will be a set of 12 peptides.. All peptides will be synthesized with a
free amino terminus and a C-terminal amide group.
Peptide sets with a free carboxy terminal end will have a higher price of 100.00 Euro per
set of 12. Peptides can also be modified for additional costs. The n-terminal acetylation of
a peptide will be handled like an additional amino acid. N-terminal biotinylation will cost
an additional 25.00 Euro per peptide. Fluorescence labeling or incorparation of rare or
unnatural amino acids have to be negotiated.
Please note that the purity of the peptides in our peptide sets may vary dramatically
from about 25% to 95% depending on petide sequence and on the lengths of the peptides.
For most applications peptides of a length between 12 and 15 amino acids are sufficient.
